Not all scissors are created equal. Precision made scissors using the best steel available are instruments of a quite different quality to run of the mill supermarket offerings. Quality steel provides a degree of rigidity in the scissors which enables the user to chose thin bladed scissors without fear of blade wobble that cheap scissors frequently have. Precision made scissors will not  in use lose their rigidity however thin the blades are. The straight bladed scissors above have marginally thinner blades than those below. Both pairs are three and half inches long and are quality manicure instruments.

We have combined a Yorkshire Sheffield made knife with grips made from the cladding from the York engine sheds to create this unique pocket knife. It commemorates the 200th Anniversary of the worlds first passenger train and of course Britains pioneering achievements in Railway Engineering. As with all our stock the products come and go according to our limited supplies of the antique timber.
