A pocket knife from Sheffield made incorporatng historic V1 doodlebug parts in it’s grips.
This Sheffield made pocket knife has a piece of German V1 rocket embedded in it’s grips. The metal was recovered from the crash site excavations in Orlestone Forest near Shadowoxhurst, Kent. This V1 came down in 1944.
The V1 was also known as the buzz bomb or doodlebug on account of the noise it’s engine made and it and the V2 heralded the dawn of the space age. The knife handmade in Sheffield is an iconic historic piece from a small stock of the recovered metal. We have only made ten of these V1 Sheffield made pocket knives and I doubt whether their will be any more. It was the first of Hitlers terror weapons.
2019 marked 50 years since man stepped on the moon and the V1 and V2 rockets marked the dawn of the space race. Additionally 2020 marks the 75th Anniversary of VE day and the hand made pocket knife from Sheffield the home of knife making with the original and very rare original metal marks these historic events.

The R100 airship was designed by Barnes Wallace who designed the bouncing bomb used in the dambusters raid. We have bought a quantity of the fabric used in this airship and used it in the production of keyrings which you can see by clicking on the above image. The fabric is stamped on the rear with the above markings.
